Evidence will make you remembered

As of to date there is no actual evidence that the Bermuda Triangle is actually anything super or abnormal. The skeptics say weather, bad luck pirates and other natural and human causes are to blame. The technical minded blame strange magnetic fields and a methane gas from the bottom of the ocean. The more open minded blame the evil extraterrestrials or some other weird technologies to comfort their unknowing minds. No matter what you believe, if there is no proof then its just a guess. Someone one day, hopefully, will be able to put out wandering imaginations to rest, until then its still unconfirmed. I can assure you however, whoever does figure out what is happening out there will inevitably go down in the history books. So if you are ever interested in becoming a remembered figure in American culture, then I would encourage you to figure out the mystery behind the Bermuda Triangle.

Personal Experiences while in the Bermuda Triangle

One of the more recent experiences involving unusual occurrences in the Bermuda Triangle was told by a Navy officer while aboard an American destroyer. He was on the bridge of the massive ship at 2 AM while cruising through the triangle. He states his compass stopped functioning correctly and so he called for the captain of the ship to come up. Before the captain got there the Navy officer saw a very bright light out in the distant water. There was no land nearby and the radar said there were no other boats in the area. Once the captain got up to the bridge he saw the compass was in fact not working he then tried to identify the light with a set of binoculars. The captain decided to stay on course and eventually the compass started working again and the light had disappeared. The story was, with time, given to the realm of acceptance.

Another one of the more interesting stories comes from Pat LeCates, her story takes place in about 1971. She says that not only did her compass start spinning and no longer pointing toward north, she says the 45 foot Pacemaker fishing boat's engines failed also. The only ones on the boat other than her were one other couple, her husband and her African Gray parrot. At one point while moving through the triangle, trying to return home to Marathon, she says "water spouts formed all around us, the sky turned grey, the twin engines shut off and the waves became violent." She also talks about the boat felt like it was going to break apart and how there was water pouring into the 45 foot boat, well above the crew's heads. She saved her bird by moving its cage and tried to help the captain (her husband) keep the ship afloat. And then, just as quickly as it started, she says that “it just stopped.” The half hour experience was over, and the boat's engines started working again. It took until November 19th, 2010 for her to ever mention the story again.

What’s the hype all about?

The Bermuda Triangle did not receive its name until 1964; however there were many accounts of abnormal happenings there for centuries prior to the name being established. It was even said that Christopher Columbus was tested by the waters strange and mysterious powers. It said in his sailing log that his compass went haywire and he and his crew could see weird lights in the sky. Some of the other accounts regarding the Bermuda Triangle are similar to the story of the Mary Celeste. The ship was found about 400 miles off the course it was on, the crew had all vanished and the mystery was never solved. When the five Navy bombers disappeared without a trace, as well as one of the rescue planes that went to search for them, is when the legend of the Bermuda Triangle really gained some validity. It was December 5th 1945, and there were six aircraft as well as 27 men, all gone.  There have been about 200 incidents attributed to the Bermuda Triangle’s power and mystery. There have been bestselling books dedicated to the idea that what happens in the air and water near the Atlantic Ocean is not only real, but also an unsolved enigma. The explanations to counter the supernatural are just as plentiful and some even seem plausible.

 Bermuda Triangle

It has been well documented that there are several people who truly believe in the legend of the Bermuda Triangle. The sixty year old area of water is undoubtedly a place of unusual occurrences. I have talked to people that know for a fact that the Bermuda Triangle is a proven place of electric magnetism that borders the realm of Evil and super natural. It has been published and sworn that there are unusual and abnormal powers at work very near the eastern coast of the United States. I have been secretly briefed that the Bermuda Triangle's strange forces are the result of the military base that is centered in the middle of the triangle. Is there a secret and extremely advanced military base located east of Miami and just north of the well-traveled Bahamas? I have been secretly confided in by several distinguished individuals with perverse opinions that are not very popular, yet extremely intriguing, regarding the phenomenon. Why is the area east of Florida so quickly recognized as mysterious? The fact is the entire triangle ruthlessly looms upon one in a half million square miles of unpredictable “hurricane alley” in the Atlantic Ocean. That is equivalent of roughly the size of one half of the continental United States.  I hope by the end of this nonfiction, purely informative, well researched blog, the answer to all of our questions are revealed.
